These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WeloScholars platform, mobile applications, websites, and related services ("Service"), provided by WeloScholars, a product operated by Welo Logic PTE. LTD., a company incorporated in Singapore ("WeloScholars", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 13 may use the Service only through an account held and supervised by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on the child's behalf. When you create an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, or that a parent or guardian consents to and supervises your use of the Service.
We treat all users under 18 as children, in line with the guidelines of Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission. If you are aged 13 to 17, please review these Terms — and the plain-language summary at the top of our Privacy Policy — with a parent or guardian if anything is unclear; if you do not understand them, ask a parent or guardian to agree on your behalf.
Because the age of contractual capacity in Singapore is 18, if you are under 18 these Terms — including the payment obligations in Section 3 — must be accepted on your behalf by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Service. Any subscription for a user under 18 must be purchased by, or with the consent of, a parent or guardian — whether through their Apple App Store or Google Play account, or on our website using the parent or guardian's payment card.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials — including your PIN and any linked Google account — confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@weloscholars.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date.
WeloScholars provides an AI-powered exam preparation platform aligned with recognised school curricula — including the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum (Primary 1 to Primary 6, Secondary 1 to Secondary 3, and O-Level examinations), and additional curricula such as the Indian CBSE curriculum and Cambridge IGCSE, as they become available in the app. The Service includes:

The Service uses third-party AI models, including Google's Gemini API and Vertex AI, to generate questions, explanations, tutor responses, and study content. You acknowledge that AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose, and must not be relied on as a substitute for formal assessment or instruction by a qualified teacher.

The exact allowances and features of each plan are shown on the in-app pricing screen and may be revised from time to time; material reductions to a paid plan will take effect from your next billing period.
Pricing, billing periods, and the features included in each plan are displayed in the app and at checkout. Subscriptions may be purchased through two channels, and the same subscription applies to your account across all devices and platforms:
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must make or approve the purchase, and any card used for a website purchase must belong to the parent or guardian.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then. To cancel: subscriptions purchased through an App Store are cancelled through your App Store account settings; subscriptions purchased on our website are cancelled through the "Manage Subscription" option on the website's pricing page, which opens a secure billing portal operated by Stripe. A subscription must be managed and cancelled through the channel where it was purchased.
Refunds for App Store purchases are governed by the refund policy of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable, and WeloScholars does not issue refunds for those purchases directly. For subscriptions purchased on our website, fees already charged for a current billing period are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or decided otherwise by us in our discretion — cancelling stops future renewals rather than refunding the current period. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at support@weloscholars.com and we will review your case. Free-tier allowances are provided as a courtesy and may be modified or withdrawn without notice.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that, in our reasonable judgement, breach these rules.
The Service allows you to upload PDF documents (exam papers, worksheets, homework) and submit text inputs for AI processing ("User Content"). You retain all rights to your User Content.
By uploading or submitting User Content, you grant WeloScholars a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, store, and analyse that content solely to deliver the Service to you — including transmitting it to AI providers to generate questions, explanations, and solutions. Uploaded PDFs are processed temporarily and are not retained on our servers beyond what is necessary to generate your requested output.
We do not use your User Content to train third-party foundation AI models, and we do not sell your User Content or any data derived from it.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to upload the User Content you submit, and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.
Questions, explanations, study notes, tutor responses, and worked solutions generated by the Service are provided for educational practice purposes only. They are not official examination materials and have not been endorsed or verified by any education ministry or examination board, including the Singapore Ministry of Education, CBSE, or Cambridge Assessment International Education.
AI-generated content may contain errors and should be reviewed by a parent, teacher, or qualified professional before being relied on. WeloScholars does not guarantee any particular learning outcome, examination grade, or improvement in academic performance. Users may report incorrect questions using the in-app Report button.
The Service — including its software, design, curriculum taxonomy, question generation logic, branding, and WeloScholars-authored content — is owned by WeloScholars or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Curriculum topic structures and syllabus references reflect the relevant curriculum frameworks (such as Singapore MOE, CBSE, and Cambridge IGCSE) and are reproduced under fair use principles for educational purposes.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service on your personal device for your own non-commercial educational use, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service or its AI-generated outputs for commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the WeloScholars Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described there. For data protection queries, contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@weloscholars.com.

Your use of those providers may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. WeloScholars is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers.
You may stop using the Service at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at support@weloscholars.com or use the account deletion option in the App settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms, if continued access would expose us or other users to legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including User Content licence for archived data, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED QUESTIONS AND EXPLANATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR EXAMINATION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WELOSCHOLARS AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED SINGAPORE DOLLARS (SGD 100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WeloScholars and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your User Content, or (c) your misuse of the Service.
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to the Terms, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notice and update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be referred to and finally resolved by the courts of Singapore, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WeloScholars regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
